【Activity description】
You will learn greetings, walking, and posture from the headmaster of the Shinkawa style of Japanese dance.Shinkawa style offers a variety of dances, ranging from classical Japanese dance to kabuki dance and bon dance. From children and students to the elderly, everyone can enjoy this experience, and the headmaster, Mr. Shinkawa Senoh, will carefully guide you.
We provide yukata rentals, so let’s start by changing into traditional attire. We will teach you how to tie the obi and wear the yukata beautifully. If you arrive in your own traditional attire, you can participate as is. We also have yukata for men and children, so families are very welcome to join!
You will practice the popular Japanese song “Sakura Sakura” in the Shinkawa style. After practice, all participants will dance together.
Enjoy the heart of Japanese dance and discover a new side of yourself!
